In Amish Country, the holidays are a time to gather around and celebrate. Instead of hanging lights on their houses, Amish families use handcrafted decorations made from candles or oil lamps to bring cheer into their homes.

Amish Country Candles

Amish country candles are handmade works of art from the Amish community, made in America. These unique decorative candles have classic scents that smell like a country kitchen, making them a wonderful way to add a special touch to your home décor.

The Amish are a rugged group of warm and friendly people who live simple lives without modern technology. They choose to ride horse and buggy rather than drive cars, and their beautiful farm homes are lit with candles and lanterns.

Shopping in Amish Country

The area is home to many charming shops, many of them specializing in artisan goods. You’ll find Amish-made quilts, furniture, leather goods, crafts, food products, and so much more!

Visit the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center

The Amish and Mennonite heritage center educates visitors about these two religious groups and their beliefs. It includes an indoor informational exhibit area, a small theatre, bookstore, and gift shop as well as the Behalt cyclorama mural, a 265-foot oil-on-canvas circular painting that illustrates the heritage of these two religious groups from their Anabaptist beginnings in Zurich, Switzerland, to the present day.
